Student life

There’s more to university life than studying. At ICMP you'll enter a supportive and creative community, where you'll find lifelong friends and collaborators. You'll also be studying in London, one of the world's most exciting cities!

Alongside providing you with an exceptional education, we also offer you a range of events, activities and services - all designed to support and nurture you during your time at ICMP.

We host gigs, masterclasses, mixers and more throughout the year, offering opportunities for you to socialise, perform, or get hands-on with event management. We also celebrate the events that matter to you, like Pride, Diwali and Black History Month. Meanwhile, our networking opportunities put you in the orbit of key industry figures like publishers, labels and agents.

We’re a small school that helps you dream big. You’ll find friends, collaborators and mentors across our courses, and a supportive community geared to help each other succeed.

There are 32 boroughs in Greater London, stretching from the City of London and Westminster, to surrounding areas like Chelsea, Camden, Richmond, Hackney and Islington.

It’s big, but it’s easy to jump on a train, tube or bus to experience everything on offer – from food pop-ups to world famous music acts, free museums and West End shows.

Fantastically diverse and historical, with many industries and businesses based here to kickstart your career, London is one of the most desirable – if pricey – cities in the world.

Campus and facilities

Word-class facilities
Rehearse, collaborate and experiment in our state-of-the-art recording studios, drum booths, live rooms and tech labs. They’re available to all students, 7 days a week outside timetabled hours – and you can book some of our equipment to use off-campus, too.

Campus location
Our campuses are located within vibrant London, near campus you’ll find places to eat, plenty of pubs, and nightlife like open mic nights. There’s also affordable accommodation a stone’s throw away – and it’s all easily connected by tube, overground and bus routes.

Venue & Cafe
In September 2022, we opened the latest phase of our incredible Queen's Park Campus. Students now have access to their very own 120-capacity venue for hosting events and showcases when it’s not being used for live performance and live sound engineering classes. We’ve also opened a brand new student social area, complete with subsidised cafe, giving you a dedicated space to kick back between classes.
