Campus and facilities

Our facilities are five-star (QS Stars 2023) and cutting edge as we continue to invest millions in our city-centre campus to create a first-class student and research environment.

Our facilities include two farms, a marine laboratory and vessel, purpose-built music and media studios, high-specification labs and clinical skills suites. We’re also investing £110m in our Stephenson Building , a world-class engineering hub for future technologists, researchers, designers and visionaries that’s due to open in 2024.

You’ll benefit from an award-winning library service spanning four libraries, 800,000 print books, over 750,000 e-books and  e-journals.

Student accommodation is in prime positions on campus, a short walk away, or in the vibrant suburbs of Newcastle. Residences range from traditional halls to modern city-centre apartments and student villages.

Top 10 for sport in the UK (British Universities and Colleges Sport league), we recently invested £32 million in sports facilities.
