You'll be part of a passionate community of students, staff and tutors, both during your training and beyond it. You'll enjoy regular social events, cross-course collaborations, student-led performances and other activities. LAMDA students and graduates have plenty of opportunities to broaden their skills and knowledge whilst getting to know each other.

Creativity, collaboration and innovation lie at the heart of the creative skills industry and our students and tutors are encouraged and supported to produce innovative work in the pursuit and development of their craft.

With full time contact hours and practical hands on expereince from placements to productions and showcases, you'll be ready to step out as a professional when you graduate.

Campus and facilities

LAMDA's award-winning £28.2 million redevelopment opened in 2017 in Baron's Court South West London, the former home of The Royal Ballet School. The building is a hive of activity, students from our courses train 9am - 6pm every weekday, and outside of these times the general public and industry guests enjoy performances, we welcome schools for workshops and host LAMDA London Public Exams.

Students also benefit from a Library filled with ever-changing new works, plays and thought-provoking critical texts reflective of the curriculum.

  • The Sainsbury Theatre, built in 2017 is a proscenium arch theatre seating 220 with full height fly tower.
  • The Carne Studio Theatre and Linbury Theatre are black box studio theatres seating 120 and 90, which provide flexible and accessible performance spaces.
  • 16 rehearsal studios available, with the largest being 216 square metres and reflect the exact size of the theatre spaces below.
