Key information for all teachers and advisers supporting students on results day.
- Please adhere to the results embargo you have with awarding bodies. Universities and colleges cannot discuss the status of individual applicants before examination results are released to them.
- Updates to Adviser Track were suspended at 14:00 on Friday 12 August while we process exam results. Any updates to your students’ applications will be displayed from 07:30 (UK time) on 18 August onwards. If you have not yet ordered Adviser Track, you can do so up to Wednesday 17 August, for 2016 entry — by emailing ucasmediaschoolsteam@ucas.ac.uk.
- Track for applicants will go live at 08:00 (UK time) on 18 August.
- Clearing choices can be added in Track from 15:00 (UK time) on 18 August. This is a change to the later time of 17:00 in previous cycles, and is a trial to improve the applicant experience.
- Direct contact service: we’re once again offering our direct contact service to applicants – designed to help those who find themselves without a university or college place on 18 August 2016.
- Delayed or late exam results: universities and colleges will wait until 31 August to receive exam results, unless they specify a different date. If the results are not available by this date, they are not obliged to hold the place open. If you know of any results likely to be subject to delay, it’s important to let the university or college know in good time.
- Re-marks and appeals: whilst universities and colleges will endeavour to be flexible in keeping places open, those who use the re-mark and appeals services have no guarantee their offers will remain open after 31 August. It's important to keep the universities and colleges informed of any re-marks and appeals.
