Robbie is Director of Global Student Recruitment and Admissions at Keele University where he leads the teams responsible for admissions, recruitment, and widening access activities. Robbie has previously worked in recruitment and outreach at four selective HE providers – Oxford, Sheffield, Lancaster, and Bath – developing sector-leading methods designed to help prospective students make informed decisions about their futures.

Robbie is the former UK Chair of HELOA, the professional association for HE staff with responsibility for providing information, advice, and guidance to prospective students. In this role, he contributed to the latest Quality Assurance Agency guidance for admissions, recruitment, and widening access. Robbie has a degree in history and politics with international relations from the University of Lancaster. In his first professional appointment – as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Lancaster University Students’ Union – Robbie was actively involved in the creation of the university’s first access agreement under the new tuition fee structure, a role which has formed the basis for his subsequent professional pursuits.
