The Annual Conference for Teachers and Advisers 2021

Richard has been Academic Director of Admissions at UEA for over ten years.  He is one of the founding members of UCAs Council and is on the Strategic Issues Committee of AIEA, the US organisation for International Officers.  He is also Professor of Computer Science at UEA, where he studies Artificial Intelligence and the Worshipful Company of IT Chair at Gresham College where he delivers public lectures in the area of Computer Science and its applications.  He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.  He has been involved with several spin-out companies and consults for industry on a range of topics.  Internationally he helped form the Aurora Network which is a group of European universities with a social mission and has recently been involved in setting -up a new project to educate students in Africa.
