Summary
Research suggests many young people arrive at university unprepared for what it is like to live and study independently. This workshop will signpost to and explore resource designed to better prepare young people so that their expectations are more closely aligned with the reality of university life and living away from home, equipping them to effectively deal with these new situations. The resources include elements which focus on:
- Difference from prior learning
- Shared living
- Wellbeing
- Conflict resolution
- Resilience and adaptability
