We’re an ambitious bunch here at UCAS, so we’re always on the lookout for new opportunities which can help you really make the most of your role, and get the most out of your students. We’re excited to announce that UCAS is now working in partnership with Inspiring Futures (IF) to broaden the reach of our professional development delivery to teachers, advisers, applicants and parents.

Inspiring Futures are now delivering workshops and presentations on behalf of UCAS. This venture is all about supporting you and as such, these will cover topics like the application process, writing personal statements, and writing references, to name but a few. Your school or college will benefit from having the opportunity to hear from people who have a sound understanding of the world of careers, as well as being experts in the fast-paced world of HE. This breadth of knowledge will help you get across important information to your students not only about applying to higher education, but also about what they’ll face after that. You’ll be able to confidently help them gain and understand those transferable skills which will stay with them throughout their HE journey and beyond.

It can be frustrating when you feel the information your students need to know is baffling, unhelpful or just missing completely. This can be disruptive to their progression, so we have worked on an increased fit between the services offered and those you really need – as stipulated by OFSTED. This should make the journey much smoother and more informative for both you and your students.

We know it’s important to support all advisers, whether you’re based in the middle of a city or the middle of nowhere. This exciting new venture will extend the reach of information and guidance in all parts of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. This means that no matter where you’re based, we’ll still be there to support and guide you and your students.
