Getting a head start in a competitive work environment

For many, higher education is the right decision. However, for others the prospect of mounting student debt and three years studying doesn’t appeal. That’s why apprenticeships are so popular – they combine work and study, enabling young people to fully engage in a promising career.

As the UK’s no.1 employer for school leavers* here at EY, our apprentices develop a range of skills and knowledge to help a wide range of companies operate more effectively – from small businesses to multinational organisations, as well as new start-ups and even governments.

Our EY Business Apprenticeship puts candidates straight into a full-time job with a starting salary of up to £21,500, giving them independence, responsibility, and a professional qualification that’ll put them ahead of those that join us as graduates.

For those that want a flavour of what to expect, there’s the EY Business Academy – a one-week work experience programme that balances on-the-job experience with business skills sessions.

Applications are now open for both the EY Business Apprenticeship and EY Business Academy in locations across the UK. Visit ukcareers.ey.com/schools to find out more.
